Traitor’s Ring
Aura strong illusion; CL 13th
Slot ring; Price 25,000 gp; Weight
These rings are made from gilded iron that has been quenched in the blood of an innocent person put to death for crimes not their own. While covered in gold, these rings are always dull and never shine no matter how much they are polished.

The wearer of the traitor’s ring cannot be affected by effects that compel loyalty or the truth—they seem to work, but in fact fail. Such immunity is not without cost, as the wearer suffers an amount of Constitution damage equal to half the level of the spell rounded up and if the effect is lasting (such as geas/quest) one of the points of damage cannot be healed until they are released from the spell by its caster. If the damage would drop the wearer to below 3 Constitution, the damage moves to Wisdom instead (which can drop below 3).

Additionally, the ring’s wearer gains a +5 enhancement bonus to Bluff checks due to the confidence the ring bestows upon them.
Requirements Forge Ring, alter self, false life, false vision, greater shadow conjuration, vampiric touch; Cost 12,500
