Centipede Net
Aura moderate conjuration and transmutation; CL 8th
Slot none; Price 23,820 gp; Weight 6 lbs
These vicious weapons were created by some cruel slaver-mage in the distant past, yet somehow, knowledge of their making has never passed from the world. These dark brown or black nets are made from the segmented bodies of inter-joined centipedes whose legs catch at and hook anyone caught by the net.

The centipede net is a +2 net that inflicts 1d4+1 points of non-lethal damage each round to any entangled by it. It is also extremely difficult to escape from, requiring a DC 25 Escape Artist check (a full-round action). The net has a hardness of 4 and 25 hit points and can be burst with a DC 28 Strength check (also a full-round action). Anyone escaping the net by cutting or escape artistry will find that one of the segments has become a fiendish giant centipede that will pursue the escapee for five rounds, while one who burst free through raw strength will find 2d3 such creatures in pursuit. The centipede net will repair itself if damaged, being good as new a day later. Further, it helps to fold itself so that it can be ready for use in half the normal time.
